Here is a list of Rules and Guidelines for Bio Freaks United

Spam

NO spam will be tolerated whatsoever! This includes porn, insults to the site and/or members, sexually oriented posts and any inappropriate posting.
Posts will be deleted and users will be banned immediately!


Fights/Flaming

Members are not allowed to fight with each other. Debates are fine, but once it turns into insults and bad language, it will not be tolerated!
These posts will be deleted. Users will either be sent a private message or be warned, depending on the severity. If sent one private message and there is a second offense, the user will be warned.

Disrespect

Members MUST respect each other! REMEMBER: Opinions differ between people. Not everyone is going to agree on everything. If someone disagrees with you, do not act like your opinion is correct and put their's down. Opinions are not facts. There are none that are wrong and none that are correct.
Also remember that not everyone is at the same educational level. Bio Freaks United is for people of a variety of ages. There is no need to be knowledgeable about biology to be interested in it. All members are welcome to share information and ask questions.
When someone gets information wrong or asks a question that is obvious to those of higher biology knowledge, do not put this person down or make him/her look "stupid" for what they are asking.
If this occurs several times, the user will be warned.
Any other disrespectful posts will be taken care of in the same manner.
If posts are downright mean/vulgar and inappropriate, users will be banned.

Links and Sources

Users MUST cite sources or post a link to the web site! Claiming facts as your own is plagiarism and it is against the law. Unless the facts are common knowledge, they NEED to have a source.
A private message will be sent asking for the post to be edited, citing a source or giving a link. If the user fails to do this or there is a second offense, he/she will be warned.

Rumors

Rumors are allowed on the board. However, they MUST be labeled as rumors. We cannot be responsible for anyone taking rumors as facts.
The posts will be edited to state that the information is a rumor. If the problem continues, a warning will be issued.

Posting

Please try to post in the correct category/forum. We understand that people make mistakes, so there is no punishment other than the topics being moved unless this is done deliberately.
Similar/identical topics will not be closed or deleted but please try not to do this because it could get annoying to some members. Again, if this is done deliberately and not by mistake, the topics will be closed.

Swearing

Minor swearing is allowed but do not use the f word continuously.

If you feel you are being treated unfairly, you may contact Vibrio6 in a private message. Do not yell or insult.
Example: Why the f*ck did you warn me?!? I DID NOTHING WRONG!!!!!!!!!
If this is the case, the user will be banned.

Please try to follow the rules at all times. There may be exceptions from time to time, but don't count on it happening often.

Once banned, there is no return! NO exceptions!
